DOUBLE GLAZE GLASS Insulating Glass Unit

Introduction

Insulating Glass Unit / Double-Glazed Unit is a consistently high quality insulating glass unit that is constructed with two or more plies of glass, separated by a desicant-filled spacer and sealed with inorganic sealant. The desiccant absorbs moisture. The spacers used are available in mill or black anodised finish. 

A primary seal of polyisobutylene is incorporated into the system which provides maximum protection against moisture vapour transmittance. It also helps reduce thermal edge conductance between spacer and glass, thereby increasing energy savings. DOUBLE GLAZE GLASS also offers a choice of secondary sealant, providing versatility in product application and assuring maximum strength and protection from stress and extreme temperature. 
 
DOUBLE GLAZE GLASS can be used to significantly save on energy costs as well as provide the additional benefit of exterior noise reduction. Characteristics

Insulation 
The enclosed layer of air increases the insulation capability ofdOUBLE GLAZE GLASS. As a result, the air conditioning load is greatly reduced. The use of heat absorbing glass, heat reflective glass and Low-E glass will further reduce the load on the cooling system.  
 
Prevention of Dew Condensation
 
With monolithic glass, the temperature difference between the outside and inside of a room will often lead to condensation. With DOUBLE GLAZE, however, the insulating effect of the air layer makes it difficult for the glass to become cold and is consequently harder for dew condensation. 
 
Sound Insulation 
DOUBLE GLAZE can significantly save on cost to reduce exterior noise pollution. The amount of sound reduction depends on the configuration of the insulating glass. 
 
Pleasant Room Atmosphere 
With its high insulation properties, the lack of cold or warm draughts leads to a pleasant internal environment. 
 
Design Flexibility
