Heat-Strengthened Ceramic Patterned Glass
Introduction
The heat strengthening process of DURASCREEN-HS is similar to that of tempered glass - the main difference is in the cooling pressure. DURASCREEN-HS has a breaking resistance that is approximately twice as high as that of annealed glass. Unlike tempered glass which breaks and crumble into small fragments, DURASCREEN-HS breaks into large pieces. It allows the glass to remain in the window frame as the weight of the broken glass on its neighbouring pieces support each other in the frame. As a result, it is commonly used in building facades.
